AI is here, how can I build a website with it?
There is a little fib many of my smart friends have bought - that AI has made digital artists, writers, and web developers useless.
Couldn't be further from the truth.
Website builders in 2025 do a phenomenal job covering most needs for the layperson. Frankly, there has been an era where the only people who could put a website together was a tag team of designer and developer, but that day was over long before our new chatbot overlords.
We as business owners have the same problems we always have.
Knowing what to put on the homepage. Above the fold. And how to select compelling images, ones that really sell the dream.
A website is not important for every business. I will not turn away a plumber with 4.6 star 500 reviews on Google Maps no matter what generic drivel is on their website.
So it's important to make a distinction. AI's got the low stakes. Even mid-level code, I will admit it's a joy to get immediate, mostly correct feedback.
But when it comes to putting together a website where your customers are going to put an ounce of research into you, you better believe the AI visit is going straight into the garbage.
I can tell the difference between a apple-flavored and apples. I suspect everybody can too.
Destroy trust with fake stuff, destroy your brand. Pretty simple.
